Skopje, 24 April 2025 (MIA) - Macedonia implements reforms and seriously contributes to regional development, said Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski at a meeting with Madeline Knox, head of the Western Balkans Department at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, in London on Thursday.
Deputy PM Nikoloski said political and economic relations among countries in the Western Balkans are continually advancing, with Macedonia playing a significant role in the development of these ties, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.
"The Government's measures and policies focus on reducing trade barriers, more trade and competitiveness of Western Balkans economies," he added.
The Deputy PM highlighted the strategic partnership between Macedonia and the United Kingdom, as well as the support provided by London for Skopje's development.
Interlocutors also discussed the enhancement of economic cooperation, the possibilities for new investments and cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.
Nikoloski and Knox agreed that the countries' partnership should be strengthened through concrete processes and projects, reads the press release.
