Skopje, 20 October 2023 (MIA) - Geostrategic developments seriously affect the security situation. The security services are consolidated and are in constant coordination in order to preserve the country's security and stability, said Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski.  

"All developments at geostrategic level seriously affect the security situation, including the developments in the region because we are a fragile region in terms of security. We have open issues that need to be resolved through dialogue. Unfortunately, in the 21st century, we are seeing Russian aggression against Ukraine, and at the moment we also have a new security crisis in Israel. All this implies that we have to be very careful, and that all security services work in a consolidated manner. We monitor the situation by the hour and all activities are being analyzed," Spasovski told TV 24's "Triling" show. 

As regards the amnesty law, Spasovski reiterated his position that such a law should not be adopted.

Regarding the possibility of former prime minister Nikola Gruevski's return to the country, Spasovski said there is no way he could return without facing accountability.
