Spasovski, Cikotic reaffirm excellent cooperation between Macedonian and Bosnian police
Skopje, 15 November 2022 (MIA) – North Macedonia’s Ministry of Interior and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ministry of Security have enjoyed continued and successful cooperation in recent years, agreed countries’ ministers Oliver Spasovski and Selmo Cikotic in Skopje on Tuesday. “It is in the interest of North Macedonia’s Ministry of Interior to enhance bilateral and operational cooperation with BiH’s Ministry of Security, especially in the field of organized crime and implementation of the protocols to the Police Cooperation Convention for SEE, but also through joint participation in regional initiatives,” said Minister Spasovski. Regarding illegal migration, Spasovski noted the recent signing of the Frontex agreement and the rising trend of attempts to cross the country’s southern border n 2022. Interlocutors expressed hope that cooperation will continue in the future but also enlarge in many other fields, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.
