Skopje, 18 July 2024 (MIA) — The brief but intense storm that hit Skopje earlier on Thursday and produced hail and heavy wind caused some streets to flood and some municipalities to lose electricity.

In the municipality of Aerodrom, the power went out and some of the traffic lights stopped working.

Some parts of Skopje saw flooded streets and fallen tree branches, which stopped traffic in several places.

According to the national power distribution company, the storm damaged two 110-kilovolt power lines, which was the reason parts of Skopje are still without electricity while repair efforts are ongoing. mr/
