Skopje, 13 March 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Health Arben Taravari alongside his Slovak counterpart Kamil Šaško signed Thursday a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovakia. According to the Ministry, the memorandum focuses on e-health and telemedicine.

In a press release, the Macedonian Ministry of Health assessed the memorandum as an “important step towards the modernization of the health system”.

The Ministry said the document strengthens bilateral cooperation in medical innovations, exchange of expertise and training of medical staff. 

“The memorandum aims to modernize the digital health infrastructure, facilitate remote medical consultations and improve the patients’ access to medical services,” the Ministry said in the press release.

Minister Taravari said the signing of the memorandum is a significant step towards a “more accessible and more efficient health system”.

“The partnership with Slovakia will help us make use of their experience and advanced technology in e-health and telemedicine,” the Minister said.
