Skopje, 31 December 2024 (MIA) - The Skopje Police Department has cleared up a case involving weapons uncovered in a police operation in Arachinovo Municipality on December 18, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. 

"Nine automatic rifles, a machine gun and a large quantity of ammunition were found on a local road between the villages of Orlanci and Nikushtak. Following appropriate measures and activities, as well as expert examinations conducted at the Forensic Department, it has been determined that the weapons belonged to a person identified by the initials H.S. (29) from Kumanovo," reads the press release. 

The person identified by the initials H.S. has been detained at the Dolno Blace border crossing on December 29, the unit for illegal trafficking of the Skopje Police Department has filed criminal charges, and a pre-trial judge on December 30 has ordered a 30-day detention measure against the person.
