SEC: 46,584 people inspected Electoral Roll, deadline expires Monday midnight

Skopje, 18 March 2024 (MIA) - The State Election Commission (SEC) informed Monday that as of March 17, 2024, 5,544 people inspected the Electoral Roll in all SEC offices nationwide. A total of 12 people submitted a request to have their data updated, 23 people submitted requests to have data included, and 10 people submitted a request to have their data removed from the Electoral Roll.

According to SEC data, a total of 41,040 citizens were inspected electronically as of March 17, 2024. Of them, 37 submitted requests to have their data updated, 7 submitted requests to have data removed, whereas 17 submitted requests to have data added.

As regards diaspora voting, 2,230 persons from the diaspora have applied to vote. Of those, 1,545 applications have been accepted, 193 have been rejected, and 492 are pending.

“This data is publicly available on the website: www.dijaspora.sec.mk. We would also like to remind citizens that public inspection of the Electoral Roll, as well as any change, addition and removal of data will be possible until today, 18 March at 12 am. An exception to this are the diaspora voters. Due to technical issues with the website www.dijaspora.sec.mk , which lasted from March 17, 2024 from midnight to March 18, 2024, until 9 am registration of diaspora voters is extended for the duration of the interruption, that is, until March 19, 9 am,” SEC said in a press release. ssh/sk/
