Rashela Mizrahi proposed as chair of inquiry committee into Oncology Clinic case

Skopje, 29 September 2023 (MIA) - The Parliamentary Committee on Election and Appointment Issues has begun a session on Friday, whose agenda includes a decision on the composition of the inquiry committee that is to look into the Oncology Clinic scandal. 

 

VMRO-DPMNE MP Rashela Mizrahi has been proposed as chair of the inquiry committee. The other proposals from the party's parliamentary group include Aleksandar Veljanovski as vice-chair of the committee, Antonijo Miloshoski, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Ivanka Vasilevska, Ljupcho Prendzhov and Petar Risteski as members of the committee, and Dajancho Eftimov, Dafina Stojanoska, Dragan Kovachki, Toni Jarevski and Zoran Kocevski as deputy members.

 

The parliamentary group of SDSM and the coalition has proposed Daniela Markovska, Nenad Kocikj, Martin Kostovski and Marija Georgievska as members of the committee, and Mile Talevski, Maja Morachanin, Beti Rabadzhievska Naumovska and Sonja Mirakovska as deputy members.  

DUI's parliamentary group proposals include Arben Ziberi and Bedri Fazli as members to the inquiry committee, and Bajram Kadrija and Berat Ajdari as deputy members.   

 

The Alliance for Albanians has proposed Remzi Mehmedi as member to the committee and Artina Qazimi as deputy member. 

 

The decision to set up an inquiry committee to look into the Oncology Clinic case was adopted on September 20, after the Public Prosecutor's Office launched a pre-trial investigation following media allegations that Oncology Clinic staff were withholding life-saving medical care from cancer patients and reselling cancer drugs.
