Skopje, 30 May 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Thursday with Serbian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Nevena Jovanović to discuss the overall bilateral relations between both countries.

The President reaffirmed the country's determination to further improve mutual relations through open dialogue, on all issues of mutual interest, her Cabinet said in a press release.

"President Siljanovska Davkova emphasized that prosperity and stability of the entire region, as well as its European integration, among other things, depend on our good bilateral relations, and added that she will work in the direction of deepening relations, expanding cooperation, and strengthening mutual trust, understanding, and good neighbourliness," the press release reads.

Interlocutors exchanged opinions and information on the current situation in the region regarding its European perspective.

Ambassador Jovanović extended her congratulation to President Siljanovska Davkova in the new post. ssh/sk/
