President Siljanovska Davkova congratulates counterpart Biden on U.S. Independence Day

Skopje, 4 July 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova has congratulated United States President Joe Biden over the country's Independence Day, extending wishes for prosperity, development and well-being of the friendly American people.

"This 4th of July, the American citizens celebrate the 248th anniversary from the adoption of the Declaration of Independence, celebrating the principles of freedom and equality that are enshrined in this document that represents an inspiration for many nations across the globe. The aspiration of the founders of the American nation to form a government that represents and draws its power from the people is equally valid today for many nations and governance concepts, including the Macedonian. By sharing and fostering these values, we are proud of our traditional friendship with the American people and committed to its further enhancement, as well as promotion of cooperation in all fields of mutual interest," says President Siljanovska Davkova in the note.

As a stable partner and proven U.S. ally in NATO, she adds, we remain focused on the common pledges for security, freedom and democratic prosperity through participation in joint activities as part of the fight against the threats to the stability and peace in Europe and the world.

Siljanovska Davkova also extends her gratitude for the United States' support to the implementation of reform efforts.
