Skopje, 14 February 2023 (MIA) – Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski is urging the Parliament's Financing and Budget Committee to organize as soon as possible a public debate on the solidarity tax bill, invite experts if needed and address possible remarks, so that the law can be implemented.  

He reiterated that the legal solution has been drafed in broad consultations with the business sector. 

"Extensive consultations were carried out with economic chambers regarding the solidarity tax, even with companies not covered by this legal solution. The financing and budget committee is responsible for this law, it's legitimate for the president and members to hold a public debate on the bill and do so as soon as possible," Kovachevski told reporters at Tuesday's traditional grapevine pruning event in the village of Resava near Kavadarci.  

According to the PM, laws regarding accounting and financial operations of companies are clear.
