PM Kovachevski meets diplomatic corps, says European proposal a solid foundation to build statehood position
Skopje, 1 July 2022 (MIA) – The European proposal represents a solid foundation to build a serious, responsible and statehood position on the opportunity presented before our country. The process of making the final decision is transparent and we are sharing all details with the public, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani told the diplomatic corps in North Macedonia on Friday. The meeting was attended by United States Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes, EU Ambassador David Geer, French Ambassador Cyrille Baumgartner, UK Chargé d'affaires Julia Smyth, Italian Chargé d'affaires Mario De Rosa and German Deputy Ambassador Otto Graf, the Government said in a press release. PM Kovachevski and FM Osmani briefed the ambassadors on the Government’s ongoing broad consultations with media, experts, groups, politicians, analysts, coalition partners, opposition and other partners and associates. The ambassadors supported the transparency of the process and North Macedonia’s strong commitment and strategic objective for cooperation and partnership with the U.S. and EU. Interlocutors concluded it is necessary to further build and support democratic values as the only path to progress, prosperity and better living conditions foe the country’s citizens, reads the press release.
