Skopje, 24 May 2025 (MIA) - The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President, Kaja Kallas, stated after her visit to Skopje that North Macedonia belongs in the European family and must proceed on its EU path.

"A pleasure to be in Skopje. North Macedonia was the first in the region to sign security and defence partnership with the EU — and the first to benefit from our Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. It belongs in our European family. Now it's essential to proceed on the EU path," Kallas posted on X.

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, during her official visit to North Macedonia on Friday, took part in the opening of the Security and Defence Dialogue between the EU and North Macedonia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and visited the Balkan Medical Task Force at the Ilinden barracks.
