Skopje, 16 July 2022 (MIA) - Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski after Parliament on Saturday passed the draft conclusions for the negotiating framework with the EU congratulated the MPs who voted in favor. "Congratulations and huge thank you to the lawmakers who demonstrated today democratic capacities, supported the conclusions for the European proposal and voted in favor of European future for the country," he wrote in a Facebook post. "There's no greater patriotism than to support prosperity of the country and to make decisions of highest interest for the country and the citizens. Finally, the Macedonian language will resound across Europe. This is how you should love your country by making wise and statesmanlike decisions," stressed Kovachevski. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj welcomed today's decision of the majority of lawmakers who endorsed the French proposal. "Today's decision confirms the European future of the country. Our path toward Brussels has been hard and riddled with challenges, but we invested a lot of hard work, energy and we sincerely believed in our goals and commitment," he wrote in a Facebook post.
