Skopje, 12 August 2022 (MIA) - Bujar Osmani had a phone call with the new chief of Bulgarian diplomacy Nikolay Milkov concerning this country's European integrations, as well as the efforts to continue developing the cooperation between North Macedonia and Bulgaria in all areas of mutual interest in accordance with the 2017 Friendship Treaty and the protocol from the joint intergovernmental committee. As the MFA said, Osmani congratulated Milkov on his new position and expressed his readiness to continue deepening the cooperation in order to strengthen the friendship between both countries. The beginning of the negotiations between EU and North Macedonia was welcomed, and the European perspective of this country was emphasized as a mutual interest not just for both countries, but for the region and the Union as well. The interlocturors also exchanged opinions about the NATO partnership with a special emphasis on the crisis caused by the Russian aggression against Ukraine, then North Macedonia's upcoming OSCE presidency, and other pressing matters in foreign politics, according to the press release.
