Foreign Minister Mucunski meets CEI Secretary General Dal Mas

Skopje, 20 May 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met Tuesday with the Secretary General of the Central European Initiative (CEI), Franco Dal Mas, in Skopje. Italy’s Ambassador to the country, Paolo Palminteri, attended the meeting as well.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, at the meeting the Secretary General presented CEI’s priorities, reaffirming the organization’s support for North Macedonia’s European path and recognizing the country’s active and constructive role within CEI.
“CEI is committed to supporting European integration, promoting regional stability and strengthening concrete cooperation tools. The active inclusion of the Western Balkan countries is more necessary now than ever for the creation of a more cohesive and secure Europe,” Dal Mas said.
Minister Mucunski, expressing gratitude and support for CEI’s work, stressed that the country sees the organization as a secure partner and a fundamental channel for promoting stability, development and concrete cooperation in the region.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine, welcoming the arrival of the Ukrainian Deputy Secretary General within the Secretariat’s team.
