Nikolovski: Green transition is one of Ministry of Agriculture’s top priorities
Skopje, 27 November 2022 (MIA) - The green transition is one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, in addition to other reforms that we are implementing, and I believe that together with responsible companies and institutions, we will contribute to changing awareness, to behave responsibly and to have as much and better examples like this, Minister Ljupcho Nikolovski said Sunday during tree-planting drive in Miladinovci.
Event sponsored by Dm drogerie markt “Foresting Together for a Greener Tomorrow” was held with the support of the state-owned National Forests company, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy and Hans Em Faculty of Forest Sciences, Landscape Architecture and Environmental Engineering. Over 300 people joined the event who planted 27,000 trees at ten hectares of unforested land in Miladinovci.
Minister Nikolovski announced that next year they will double the budget, increase the programme for widened reproduction of the forests and believes that they will motivate all subjects to such a responsible approach.
“Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy and the institutions are fully committed and provide overall support to this entire process. Today, we are assisting with state-owned National Forests company in all this beautiful campaign, and through our programmes, we are working intensively to ensure that as many hectares as possible to forested,” Nikolovski said.
