MFA: Search for third missing Macedonian in Greece continues
Skopje, 11 July 2022 (MIA) - Greek authorities have resumed the search and rescue operation for the third Macedonian man missing in Greece, North Macedonia's Foreign Ministry (MFA) said Monday adding the operation will continue tomorrow morning weather permitting.
The Greek coastguard and numerous local volunteers have joined the operation.
Earlier, the mother of the mission Macedonian, whose initials have been revealed as M.J., was welcomed by the general consul in Thessaloniki, who continues to closely communicate with the Greek authorities.
Also, the MFA said the two men who were rescued over the weekend are in hospital and feeling well. They are expected to be discharged soon.
"Our officers remain in intensive contact with the relevant institutions in Greece and every information will be timely shared," said the Ministry thanking the Greek coastguard, the Greek air force and the locals included in the operation for their tireless efforts and sacrifice.
