Shtip, 10 May 2025 (MIA) – Activities are under way ordered by the public prosecutor’s office and as far as I’m informed, a certain number of witnesses are being questioned at the moment in relation to the crime, Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said Saturday in Shtip when asked about the investigation into the fire in a Kochani nightclub on March 16, which killed 62 young people.

“The investigation is under way, evidence is being collected as ordered by the public prosecutor’s office. As soon as new details emerge, the public will be informed by the public prosecutor’s office about coming steps,” he said. 

Minister Toshkovski is in Shtip today to attend the 14th Annual Assembly of the International Police Association - IPA Macedonia. He said he expects IPA members to share experiences and ideas so as to boost cooperation.

IPA Macedonia President Igno Stojkov said the international organization was formed in 1950. It was established in the country in 2011 and includes active and former law enforcement officers.
