Skopje, 24 November 2022 (MIA) – The European Union is the only concept and alternative that ensures an economically prosperous country, social justice and democracy to our citizens, who deserve and want this. Current and future generations deserve to live in a European country here, not somewhere else, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski told a Q&A session in Parliament on Thursday. Answering a question from Levica MP Borislav Krmov about the rise of this party, PM Kovachevski said Levica is the biggest threat on the country’s European path. “It is your party that represents the biggest threat on the country’s European path, using anti-EU, anti-NATO and anti-Western rhetoric, without offering any other concept or alternative. Through this populism, it endangers the country’s European path, and what is even more dangerous, this populism has taken the VMRO-DPMNE leader hostage, considering he is weak, having no position and vision,” said Kovachevski. According to him, it has been confirmed that the hysteria that Levica created at the time of the vote for the French proposal in the Parliament was a hoax. “First of all, North Macedonia has started the EU accession negotiations with a clean Macedonian language, confirmed through the Frontex agreement. The agreement was approved by all EU member-states, including Greece and Bulgaria,” said Kovachevski. Progressive political forces, he added, are dominant in the Parliament and they will not allow your party and your coalition partners to block that path”.
