Japan provides donation worth €38,185 to University Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic
Skopje, 6 October 2022 (MIA) – Japanese Ambassador to North Macedonia Hironori Sawada and the director of the University Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery Danica Popovikj Monevska signed Thursday in the premises of the Embassy of Japan a grant agreement worth €38,185 for purchasing interoperative neuromonitoring system to ensure accurate and safer health services for patients during maxillofacial surgeries.
“Patients will no longer be exposed to the risk of nerve damage and facial dysfunction, nor will they be forced to seek help from abroad,” said Ambassador Sawada following the grant agreement signing.
Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic director Popovikj Monevska thanked for the assistance, pointing out that by purchasing the device, one of the Clinic's most important goals will be fulfilled.
“With signing of this grant agreement by the friendly Japanese people, one of the most important goals of the University Clinic for Maxillofacial Surgery is finally being realized, which will significantly contribute to the promotion and improvement of the quality of maxillofacial surgeries and delivering safe, effective healthcare services,” Popovikj Monevska added.
Grant agreement was signed within Japan’s Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects, which thus far provided funds for renovation and purchase of equipment in more than 72 schools and kindergartens, 64 health facilities and provided 34 special vehicles for waste collection and communal services for 51 municipalities.
