IQAir: Skopje air currently world's 7th most unhealthy

Skopje, 3 January 2025 (MIA) — Skopje is the seventh most polluted city in the world this Friday, according to IQAir's AirVisual air quality monitoring platform. Residents are recommended to avoid outdoor exercise, close windows to avoid unhealthy outdoor air, run air purifiers and wear an N95 respirator mask.

 

According to the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning citing data from its air quality monitoring stations, PM10 levels on Thursday were very unhealthy in Strumica as well as in Skopje's Centar, Gazi Baba, Karposh, Lisiche, Rektorat, and Gjorche Petrov.

 

Unhealthy levels were measured also in Miladinovci, Bitola, Kichevo, Tetovo, Gostivar, Ohrid, Veles, Kavadarci, Kumanovo and Strumica.

 

The world's most polluted city currently is Lahore, Pakistan. The second most polluted is Delhi, India, followed by Wuhan, China. mr/
