French piano duo Dezombre - Leclère to perform at Ohrid Summer Festival

Ohrid, 3 August 2023 (MIA) - The French piano duo Dezombre – Leclère are set to perform within the frameworks of the French evening programme at the Ohrid Summer Festival on Thursday.

Born in Paris, Anne Dezombre began playing the piano in France, and in Montreal she studied piano, accompaniment and French literature, perfecting her craft. She has performed at the “Les Nuits Caraïbes” festival in Guadeloupe, the Nancyphonies Festival, the Soirées du Château de Brinville, the Auditorium de Vincennes, the opening concert of the Mois de la Francophonie in Havana and the Belgian Embassy in Cuba.

Dezombre has specialized in the field of vocal and lyrical accompaniment, she is also a part of a duo with Hugues Leclère- pianist. Passionate about pedagogy, she holds the State Diploma for teaching children piano.

Hugues Leclère studied piano with Catherine Collard before entering the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where he obtained three first prizes in piano, musical analysis and chamber music. His solo career has allowed him to travel to 43 countries, and perform alongside prestigious orchestras, such as the Berliner Camerata Philharmonie, Czech Radio National Orchestra, National Orchestra of Thailand, soloists from the Orchestre de Paris, the Talich quartet or the Berlin Philharmonic String Quartet.

As a member of the Society of Dramatic Authors and Composers he also creates projects inspired by historic events, such as Napoleon’s exile on Saint Helena and the Great War, together with the actor Francis Huster, or again Bachmania, Beethovenmania and Debussymania for two pianos with Jean-François Zygel.

Leclère teaches piano at the Conservatoire de Paris and he is also an artistic director of numerous events such as the Nancyphonies festival and the International Academies of Paris.

The concert will be held at the Church of St. Sophia at 9 pm. The program includes the works of Fauré, Debussy, Ravel, Leclère and Poulenc. ssh/sk/
