Skopje, 26 October 2022 (MIA) – Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi is paying Wednesday a visit to Brussels, where he is set to meet with European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn and European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni. The visit takes place in light of the Finance Ministry activities related to the 2023 Budget, the Economic Reform Programme jointly drafted with the EU, as well as the development of an Action Plan for implementation of the recommendations noted in the European Commission Report on North Macedonia. Minister Besimi will be briefed on the possibility of using funds from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) through its Precautionary Liquidity Line (PLL), along with the initiative for budgetary support by the EC to manage the challenges of the energy and price crisis, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.
