Filipche: Health workers’ salaries to increase 5% in 2022
Skopje, 30 December 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Health Venko Filipche held a working meeting on Thursday with the union associations of health workers and signed an annex to the collective agreement according to which health workers’ salaries are set to increase by 5% in 2022. A total of Mden 600 million have been allocated for this purpose, the Ministry of Health said in a press release.
In the past four years, the release read, the government restored the dignity of doctors and other medical staff.
“We’ve increased the salaries of medical specialists by 40%, nurses 20-23%, general practitioners 25% and other health workers 15%. The salaries of some medical specialists have doubled, while residents now have health insurance, paid standby duty and salaries. Citizens deserve the best health care, while health workers deserve dignified work conditions,” read the release.
