ERC expected to announce electricity prices for January

Skopje, 1 December 2024 (MIA) — The Energy Regulatory Commission will announce its pricing decisions regarding the national electricity transmission and distribution system – including the national electric transmission system operator MEPSO, the power distributor Elektrodistribucija, and the national electricity market operator MEMO – at a press conference Monday.
Power Plants of North Macedonia AD ESM offered a price of 62 euros per megawatt hour at the latest tender of the universal supplier EVN Home, which was two euros higher than the previous price the universal supplier paid. This price may have the greatest impact on citizens' power bills as of Jan. 1.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski has given several press statements that he did not expect any significant changes in the price of electricity. If the price should go up, it would be somewhere between one to three percent only, he said. mr/
