Education Ministry’s website down after hacking attack
Skopje, 10 September 2022 (MIA) – The website of the Ministry of Education and Science has been hacked since last night. At the moment, the site is completely down and cannot be accessed. On the Ministry’s website it says “Hacked by Greek Hacking Team Netwatchers”.
“The Ministry of Education and Science is in communication with the National CIRT Center for responding to computer incidents within the Agency for Electronic Communications where the case was reported. We expect concrete activities to be taken in response with the support of the Ministry of Interior in order to find the location and the source of the attacks. Meanwhile, the Education Ministry’s IT service in cooperation with experts is taking action to boost the securoty of the website, after which it will be reactivated,” said the Education Ministry. The Ministry points out there is no need to worry about alleged download of any citizen databases, because there are no such background databases on the website as it is informative in nature.
