Dimitrieska-Kochoska - Aggeler: Enhancing cooperation with US for implementing reforms

Skopje, 1 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska and U.S. Ambassador to the country, Angela Aggeler met Monday to discuss the support that the Ministry of Finance, and country overall, receive from the United States, the Ministry of Finance said in a press release.
The meeting highlighted that that this cooperation will be strengthened during the upcoming implementation of reforms.
"The US is the country's strategic partner, and this partnership which has been continuously maintained since independence will continue into the future. It is important and crucial for advancing the country's democratic processes, rule of law, for economic prosperity, and ensuring greater stability and development," said Dimitrieska-Kochoska.
She added that there is much work to be done, and that key reforms important for the country will be implemented that only through strong commitment, and that "support from strategic partners, such as the US, is important for achieving those reforms."
"Interlocutors also addressed the support the Ministry of Finance receives from the U.S. Department of the Treasury in building institutional capacities that ensure the stability of public finances and fiscal sustainability," the press release reads. ssh/sk/
