Minister Bozhinovska says Shtip wind farm a strong signal for stable investments and green transition

Skopje, 16 July 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska has welcomed the launch of the construction of a wind farm near Shtip, a US$500 million investment by "Alcazar Energy Partners".

"This Government has placed energy as a pillar of development. We will not stop until we transform Macedonia into a regional hub of renewable energy. I proudly support every step in leading to this goal. Investments in wind, sun, water are bridges to economic stability, green transition and new jobs for Macedonian citizens. This investment builds opportunities for the youth, builds industrial capacities for the whole country and energy security for many households," says Minister Bozhinovska in a video statement.

According to her, such investments are a proof that state institutions represent a stable and predictable partner and the country is seen as a stable soil for long-term investments.

The Ministry notes that today's investment brings multiple benefits: pure and stable energy, reduced carbon emissions, lower electricity bills and opening of about 50 new jobs during construction and even more when the wind farm becomes operational.

The Ministry remains committed to supporting similar projects and expects additional investments in green and innovative energy, resulting in long-term benefits for citizens, the economy and future generations.
