Skopje, 12 September 2024 (MIA) - First Deputy PM and Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Izet Mexhiti met Wednesday in Washington with Erin Elizabeth McKee, USAID Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Europe and Eurasia, discussing bilateral relations and the excellent cooperation with the agency that has implemented numerous projects in North Macedonia.

Interlocutors highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and increasing cooperation in key areas of mutual interest, the Deputy PM's Office said in a press release.

Deputy PM Mexhiti, accompanied by Minister of Energy, Mining and Minerals Sanja Bozhinovska, briefed McKee on the latest political and economic developments in the country and the role that political stability plays in creating a favorable environment for foreign investments.

Discussions also tacked the opportunities for joint initiatives around environmental challenges, including climate change and sustainable development, reads the press release.
