Deputy PM Marichikj welcomes Croatia's PM Plenković at Skopje Airport

Skopje, 5 April 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM for European Affairs Bojan Marichikj welcomed at Skopje International Airport Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, who is heading a delegation of top government representatives and members of the Croatian Parliament in official visit to North Macedonia on Wednesday.  

 

"At a time when we are faced with new processes and challenges, true friends stand by our side to share experience and support North Macedonia's European integration. A warm welcome to Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. We will have the opportunity to discuss our plans, new projects, the future of the region," Marichikj posted on Facebook. 

 

 

During his official visit to the country, Plenković will meet with top state officials. Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski will welcome his Croatian counterpart to Skopje with the highest state and military honors. The welcoming ceremony will be followed by a tête-à-tête meeting between the two prime ministers and a plenary meeting between the government delegations of Croatia and North Macedonia.

 

Talks will focus on the European integration process and the course of the EU negotiations, the constitutional amendments, bilateral relations, promoting cooperation in key areas for making progress in the EU accession process, as well as possibilities for new investments. 

 

PM Plenković will also meet with President Stevo Pendarovski and Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi. The Croatian Prime Minister will address a session in Parliament, as well.
