Skopje, 1 September 2021 (MIA) — Over the past 24 hours, North Macedonia logged 906 new Covid-19 cases from 6,006 tests done in the country, and 26 people died from coronavirus-related complications, health authorities said late Wednesday evening. According to the Ministry of Health citing Public Health Institute data, of the 906 new Covid-19 cases, 423 were diagnosed in Skopje. New cases were also recorded in Tetovo – 68, Kumanovo – 60, Gostivar – 51, and Strumica – 39. In the past 24 hours, 343 people recovered from the virus. At the moment, 14,785 cases are active nationwide, of which 5,802 in Skopje. Since the onset of the epidemic, North Macedonia has performed a total of 1,164,177 tests, recording 177,399 Covid-19 cases and 156,650 recoveries. The death toll has reached 5,964. mr/
