Skopje, 9 May 2024 (MIA) — It took 2,356 votes more to win a parliamentary seat for the First Electoral District (9,018 votes) than for the Sixth Electoral Disctrict (6,662 votes) in the 2024 parliamentary elections, MIA's analysis of the election results shows.

It took 8,577 votes to become a Member of Parliament for the Second Electoral District; 8,035 votes for the Third Electoral District; and 8,264 votes for the Fourth Electoral District.

To win a seat for the Fifth Electoral District, an MP candidate needed to win at least 7,959 votes.

Under the D'Hondt method of apportionment, if the entire country were a single electoral district, the distribution of seats would be as follows: VMRO-DPMNE would have two seats fewer than those won now (56), SDSM would have won one more (19), DUI two fewer (17), Worth It the same (13), Levica two more seats (8) and ZNAM would have won one more seat (7). mr/
