Skopje, 23 May 2023 (MIA) - Deputy PM and SDSM vice-president Fatmir Bytyqi says term "20 percent" will not be replaced with "Albanian language" in the Constitution.
Bytyqi told Alsat TV that the working group has no mandate to discuss changes in the Constitution other than incorporation of the Bulgarians in the Preamble.
He is certain that the parliamentary majority has the required 80 votes for the constitutional revision.
"The working group on the constitutional changes has no mandate or is discussing changes other than those related to the European path. I think there is no ethnic Albanian MP who will vote against the Euro-integration process. I see all other discussions as part of daily politics. We are convinced that reason will prevail in the ethnic Macedonian opposition bloc and majority will be achieved for the constitutional changes," says Bytyqi.
