Bozhinovska meets FEEIT students on International Day of Clean Energy

Skopje, 26 January 2025 (MIA) - On the occasion of International Day of Clean Energy, Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources, Sanja Bozhinovska met with students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies (FEEIT). She visited the knowledge laboratory, or FabLab, where young people work on innovative projects, create prototypes, and are actively involved in scientific research, the Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Mineral Resources said.

“Young engineers and innovators are not just acquiring knowledge but are also developing solutions that will shape the future of clean energy in Macedonia and possibly worldwide. Innovations in this field are crucial for the entire world. Their creativity and dedication are the driving force behind the advancement of energy and technology,” Bozhinovska said.

During the discussion, the students briefed Bozhinovska on their newest projects, which include innovative energy efficiency solutions, the use of 3D printing for practical prototypes, and initiatives to support individuals with disabilities. As they highlighted, their ideas may lead to tangible innovations that will contribute to a more sustainable future, reads the press release.

To express their gratitude for her continuous support, the students presented a statuette they had created and 3D printed in the laboratory, according to the press release.

Bozhinovska encouraged the students to maintain their innovative mindset and pledged support for projects that would contribute to clean energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable development.

“These students are the future leaders of our energy sector, and their ideas will drive the energy transition in Macedonia,” she said.

On 26 January 2023, the UN General Assembly (UNGA) adopted Resolution 77/327 proclaiming 26 January as International Day of Clean Energy, to raise awareness and mobilize action for a just and inclusive transition to clean energy for the benefit of people and the planet.
