Bekteshi: European Front won't join a government unless it guarantees constitutional changes

Skopje, 26 April 2024 (MIA) - The European Front has an agreement with the Albanian opposition that it will not join a government that does not guarantee constitutional changes, Minister of Economy Kreshnik Bekteshi said.

Bekteshi told Telma TV late on Friday that there is a document signed by Arben Taravari of the Worth It coalition and Ali Ahmeti of DUI, stating that the political parties signatories will not form a coalition with a political party that does not enact the constitutional changes as currently proposed.

Bekteshi also added that the document states they won't form a coalition with a political party that publicly expresses views against our country's membership in the European Union and acts as an obstacle to our country's integration.

“I think the other signatures are from Worth It coalition and from the European Front, but I know about Mr. Taravari and Mr. Ahmeti because I specifically know who delivered the document, how it was delivered, what their stance was, and when it was signed because, as a close associate of Mr. Ahmeti, I have participated in such meetings,” Bekteshi said.
