Shtip, 28 April 2024 (MIA) - The objective of the Levica in these elections is to reduce VMRO-DPMNE to below 50 MPs, SDSM to below 20, and ultimately neutralize SDSM, Levica leader Dimitar Apasiev said during Sunday evening gathering with citizens in Shtip.
He highlighted that their aim is also to secure between eight to twelve seats, which, as he noted, align with the forecasts and realistic expectations of Levica.
“The outcome we achieved in the presidential elections was expected, as it was our first time participating and supporting an independent candidate who was ideologically aligned with us.
However, in the parliamentary elections, we start from scratch and expect a solid result. We will be the ones to maintain the course of Macedonism against all anti-Macedonian forces seeking to introduce Bulgarians into the Constitution, establish bilingual Parliaments, and change the Constitution, erasing 20 percent and introducing another official language,” Apasiev noted.
Levica list principal in the third election district, Borislav Krmov, said that today they are presenting the Levica’s program to the people of Shtip. As Krmov noted, their program is uniquely different from all others because it concerns the ordinary people.
He stressed that privatization and business policies have resulted in the migration of the population from urban areas. Krmov highlighted that their program includes a central planning agency aimed at evenly developing the regions.
