Skopje, 7 December 2023 (MIA) — Presenting a special report on implementing the principle of adequate and fair representation in the public sector and a special report on gender and educational representation in 2022, Public Advocate Naser Ziberi said institutions did not follow recommendations on fair representation in the public sector.

"Almost all smaller communities are represented by an almost identical percentage of employees as in the past years, which means that the institutions do not fully respect the Public Advocate's recommendations," Ziberi said.

"They do not implement the approved annual employment plans reflecting ethnic representation through the implementation of the constitutional principle of adequate and fair representation," he noted.

According to Ziberi, to conduct this research, requests were submitted to a total of 1,325 institutions, and for the first time, all of them responded in electronic form. mr/
