Skopje, 21 March 2025 (MIA) - The Government intends to fully ban the use of pyrotechnics in closed areas and amendments to the related legislation are currently being drafted, said Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski on Friday.

Minister Toshkovski said the existing legislation dates back from the 1960s and an entirely new law is to be drafted. However, due to the urgency of the matter, the current law will be amended until the new one is adopted.

"The ministry services are working on the amendments and they will be ready shortly. The Government's intention is that such pyrotechnics in never again used in closed areas," Toshkovski told reporters.
