Zaev, Ahmeti and Kovachevski agree government’s full EU integration commitment
Skopje, 16 December 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski and DUI leader Ali Ahmeti and their teams held Thursday a working meeting in the government as part of consultation meetings over the government priorities, taking over responsibilities and maintaining and upgrading the government and parliamentary majority. It was confirmed during the meeting that the goal for providing stable government and stable parliamentary majority, acting exclusively in the interest of the citizens and the state, had been fulfilled, the government said. “Zaev, Ahmeti and Kovachevski concur that the new government should be fully focused on accelerating the Euro-Atlantic integration process of the country and that the goal of the first major achievement of the government is finding solutions to the challenges in the relations with Bulgaria and the opening of EU membership negotiations,” said the press release. The next parliamentary elections, it added, is expected to be organized at the regular date, in 2024, and by then, the government will deliver economic results, quick and quality services for the citizens and successfully handle the pandemic and the energy crisis.
