As a result, decisions to revoke the licenses will be made, announced Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski.

Speaking in Friday’s news conference, 13 legal entities have had their A license revoked for construction contractors of the first category, 34 legal entities have had their B license revoked for construction contractors of the second category, two legal entities have had their A license revoked for supervision of construction of first category buildings, six legal entities have had their B license revoked for supervision of construction of second category buildings, three legal entities have had their A license revoked for design of first category buildings, 20 legal entities have had their B license revoked for design of second category buildings, two legal entities have had their B license revoked for revision of project documentation of second category buildings, one legal entity has had its license revoked for maintenance manager of first and second category buildings, and 16 legal entities have had their license revoked for preparation of urban plans.

“Currently, the Ministry is conducting inspection of all licenses issued according to the Law on Construction and the Law on Urban Planning. The law on inspections is vague, which us why the inspections are conducted now based on political decision. After the procedures are completed, the laws will be changed ensuring that everything that will be issued by the authorities will undergo control every six months,” said Nikoloski.
