Skopje, 16 December 2024 (MIA) - The Seismological Observatory within the Skopje-based Faculty of Science and Mathematics has registered three earthquakes in different parts of the country early on Monday. 

According to the Seismological Observatory, on Monday at 1:12 am an earthquake measuring 3.3-magnitude on the Richter scale was registered 111 km southeast of Skopje, with the epicentre in Valandovo. The earthquake was felt in Valandovo and Bogdanci region, measuring III degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale. 

At 1:14 am, an earthquake of magnitude 2.2 on the Richter scale was registered 113 km southeast of Skopje, with the epicentre in Valandovo. The earthquake was felt in Valandovo and the surrounding region, measuring III degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale.

"At 1:22 am, another earthquake measuring 2.7-magnitude on the Richter scale and III degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale was registered with the epicentre in Skopje, and felt in Skopje and the surrounding region," said the Seismological Observatory.
