Skopje, 28 May 2024 (MIA) - The Worth It coalition, according to Arben Taravari, is the best guarantee that North Macedonia will continue its European path. Moreover, he points out, in the first declaration between VMRO-DPMNE and the Worth It coalition, there were three points - the European path, swift economic development, the fight against crime and corruption, and the rule of law.
Taravari, told Kanal 5 TV that he “wouldn't want to see a repetition of 2008," adding, "If there's a strategy for 2028 where Macedonia, Albania, Serbia, and Montenegro enter as a package, that's already a reason for us to quickly change certain things."
"I assure you that there will be modalities acceptable to both sides. I am very confident about that for both Skopje and Sofia, but the options will surely be disclosed by the next Prime Minister. However, I can tell you that intensive work is being done on this," Taravari said.
When asked if he had discussed constitutional changes with the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, and the current mayor of Gostivar from the Alliance for Albanians, Taravari said "of course," emphasizing that it wouldn't be right for him to comment on any decisions; instead, this should be announced by the future Prime Minister.
As a new government with a stable majority, according to Taravari, now is the time to work on reforms, fight against crime and corruption, establish the rule of law, and attempt to find a solution and make certain constitutional changes.
Taravari stated that he would decide within the next few days whether to accept the position of Minister of Health.
