Tirana, 13 July 2022 (MIA) – Alliance for Albanians leader Zijadin Sela says North Macedonia “must accept the French proposal after the lifting of the Bulgarian veto in order to begin the country’s EU negotiations.” In an online interview with Ora News, Sela adds that Albanians should not be held hostage to conflicts which are recycled and repeated every four to five years. “This is the offer North Macedonia has and it should be taken seriously. The decision is not whether to accept or not the French proposal, but the choice North Macedonia has to make is whether to continue down the European path. We have openly stated our position whenever asked. We support this path that goes through the acceptance of the French proposal. I believe that North Macedonia won’t have a better proposal for the solution of the dispute and this is why we must continue down this path. The Albanians should not be held hostage to conflicts which are recycled and repeated every four to five years,” said Sela. ad/ik/
