Radovish to hold traditional food festival through Oct. 2
Radovish, 29 September 2022 (MIA) — After a two-year break at the beginning of the pandemic, Radovish is resuming its Samun em Tatlija food festival, which celebrates the local baked goods samun and tatlija Radovish is known for. The festival will offer tastings and food to buy as well as folk dance performances by international folklore ensembles and concerts by Macedonian pop bands. “The Radovish samun will be served at a designated space in the city center, where all visitors will be able to find a spot to have fun and socialize,” according to Radovish Mayor Aco Ristov. This year’s Samun em Tatlija will run Sept. 30 through Oct. 2. Up to 40,000 baked goods were sold at each food festival in previous years, organizers said. mr/
