Skopje, 20 October 2023 (MIA) - A protest in support of Palestinian people was held in front of the Murat Pasha Mosque at the Old Bazaar in Skopje on Friday.

A group of citizens carrying "Free Palestine" posters called for an end to the attacks in Palestine. 

President of the "Köprü" association, Emin Husrev, said the attacks in the past twelve days targeting civilians, including a significant number of women and children, "that culminated with the bombing of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, are an act unacceptable to humanity." 

He called for an end to the attacks, pointing out that it is impossible to remain silent about what is happening because there are over 3,500 victims to date.

"We expect necessary steps to be taken towards establishing peace and stability as soon as possible, starting with the neighboring countries, and we call on America, Europe and other countries to take a fair and human-centered stance between the parties," said Husrev.

The protest in support of Palestine is organized by several associations in the country that have formed a Platform for this purpose. ssh/nn/
