Skopje, 30 April 2024 (MIA) - The Public Prosecutor’s Office of North Macedonia announced Tuesday it has requested precautionary measures for 12 individuals suspected of abusing their official position, without giving any detail about the institution in question.

“Acting upon an initiative submitted by the State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption, a public prosecutor in charge has submitted an indictment motion against 12 individuals for the crimes of abuse of official position and unscrupulous operation within the service. A proposal for precautionary measures for the suspects has been submitted to the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje,” the Public Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release.

According to media reports, the 12 suspected individuals are Youth and Sport Agency staff, including the Agency’s director Naumche Mojsovski, and the case is related to the distribution of funds from the voucher system.
