Skopje, 15 May 2025 (MIA) - The Kochani Basic Court has accepted the motion of the Public Prosecutor's Office for replacement of detention with house arrest for former economy minister Kreshnik Bekteshi in the Kochani nightclub fire case.

The court spokesperson told MIA on Thursday that the pre-trial judge has decided on the motion for Bekteshi but not yet for the other 19 suspects.

"No decision has been taken on the other motions. The public will be informed once they are made," said the spokesperson.

The March 16 fire in the "Pulse" nightclub in Kochani claimed 62 lives, with about 200 others injured.
