Skopje, 13 June 2024 (MIA) - President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Thursday with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, exchanging opinions on bilateral friendly relations and development of cooperation in many fields of mutual interest, in the spirit of strategic partnership and as NATO allies.

President Siljanovska Davkova thanked FM Fidan for Turkey's support on bilateral and multilateral plan, expecting it to continue in the future, the President's Office said in a press release.

Interlocutors also highlighted the important role of the Turkish community in the country, which further enhances good bilateral ties.

Siljanovska Davkova and Fidan also exchanged opinions on regional developments and challenges related to Macedonian aspirations for EU membership, reads the press release.
