Skopje, 9 April 2024 (MIA) - President Stevo Pendarovski met Tuesday with a delegation of the U.S. Pacific Council visiting the country, the President's Office said in a press release.

President Pendarovski said the United States is North Macedonia's greatest strategic partner and NATO ally, adding that U.S. support is still important in continuing North Macedonia's path to EU membership.

"Interlocutors exchanged views and discussed the overall cooperation between North Macedonia and the United States in the context of the strategic partnership between the two countries and cooperation of the non-governmental sector. In addition, participants in the meeting discussed current geopolitical developments and the situation in the wider region," the press release reads.

Organization representatives briefed Pendarovski on their activities towards global engagement, dialogue and cooperation. ssh/nn/
